History

RASAL Lingüística is the scientific journal of the Argentine Society for Linguistic Studies (Sociedad Argentina de Estudios Lingüísticos/SAEL), dedicated to the dissemination of original research from diverse theoretical and methodological perspectives in linguistics.

Launched in print in 1993 under the title RASAL, the journal published annually between 1993 and 1995. In 2004, it was relaunched under its current title, RASAL Lingüística. Since then, it has maintained a regular publication schedule, first biannually and later annually. Since 2016, the journal has been published exclusively in digital format, with two issues per year since 2019.

Since 2015, the journal has been part of the Core Collection of Argentine Scientific Journals (Núcleo Básico de Revistas Científicas Argentinas) of CONICET, and in its electronic format it is indexed in several international databases and indexing services.

Thanks to the work of its editorial board, composed of linguists from Argentina, the journal maintains its commitment to the most rigorous standards of scholarly publishing, ensuring academic quality and the continuous improvement of its editorial practices.

Since its creation, RASAL Lingüística has been an open-access journal with free distribution, devoted to the field of linguistics and sustained by the collaborative work of the members of the Association.
